It was a magnificent sensory experience,we heard the whistle of the reeds,the cry of the geese,the water hen,the sights that enthralled were the cows grazing without hedges,the waterfowl ,the barges moving up the river ,the heron standing stock still fishing,the unexpected jetties at some of the house with the ornamental ducks about to dive into the dyke. The smell of the beautiful flowers ,the countryside in general,slurry tóo.. Finally the taste of the local beer texels at the.end of a day in the saddle. [...]
